Exploring Gozo Island, Malta–A Quaint Hotel Experience

16/01/2023

My Gozo visit was made extra special by charming accommodations and incredible hospitality. Read about my experience below!

While on Gozo, I stayed with Quaint Hotels, a boutique hotel group with three properties across the island (one in Nadur, in Xewkija, and in Sannat). The group also has a suite in Żebbuġ as well as a vacation rental in Għasri. I was fortunate to experience two of these properties, specifically those in Nadur and Xewkija.

All of Quaint’s properties are located in quiet Gozitan villages, giving visitors an authentic and first-hand taste of local Mediterranean life on the island. The contemporary hotel interiors contrast with the more traditional village exteriors, offering visitors an opportunity to appreciate Gozo’s old-world charm in modern-day comfort. Not to mention, the properties are managed by some of the kindest and most gracious people the hospitality industry has ever seen (Frankie & Alisnee, I’m talking about YOU!), ensuring that guests are given dedicated and personalized service throughout their stay.

Staying at both Quaint Hotel Nadur and Xewkija was an absolute treat. Both are located in their respective village’s main square, next to to the main cathedrals there. Booking a top-floor room with a balcony is highly recommended, so you can step out and take in the view from above or enjoy a relaxing beverage at the end of the day.

And don’t let their off-the-beaten-path locations fool you–they are each just a short drive away from Gozo’s main attractions and are a stone’s throw away from anything else you’d need. Looking for a taxi? Step outside (or, ask your hotel manager to call you one). Hungry? Head to one of the nearby cafés or restaurants. Hungry but don’t wanna leave your room? Order directly to your hotel using the Bolt Food app. Need to relax? Book an in-room massage treatment. Need literally anything else? Ask the hotel manager–they will happily point you in the right direction or help you get what you need!

Bottom line, if you’re traveling to Gozo and want to experience tranquil Mediterranean life while on the island or just have a peaceful home base to come back to at the end of a day full of island adventures, Quaint Hotels is absolutely the way to go.

Thank you so much to @VisitMalta & @bradfordgroup for making my visit to Malta possible! I cannot wait to come back and explore more of what this incredible island nation has to offer. Special thanks to Frankie Camilleri of Quant Hotel Nadur and my guides Mariella and Isabelle from the Malta Tourism Authority for taking care of me and showing me the beauty of Malta. I know we only got to scratch the surface! All opinions are my own.
